ProxyMTG publishes guides, FAQs, comparisons, and product education content to help players understand MTG proxy printing, ordering, and responsible use. This Editorial Policy explains how we create, review, and update content so readers (and search engines) can trust it.
1) Our editorial mission
Our goal is to publish content that is:
Accurate (grounded in what we can verify)
Clear (written for real customers, not jargon)
Practical (actionable guidance and realistic expectations)
Responsible (consistent with our MTG Proxy Use Policy)
We do not publish content intended to encourage deception, tournament misuse, or misrepresentation.
2) How we write content
When we publish guides or comparisons, we aim to include:
Definitions and context (so readers aren’t guessing what terms mean)
Real-world factors that affect results (finish, alignment tolerances, sleeves, shipping timelines)
Practical “what to expect” sections
Clear limitations and tradeoffs
If we make a claim that’s important for decision-making (for example: turnaround time ranges, quality standards, or policy rules), we try to anchor it in:
our published policies (Shipping & Turnaround, Quality Expectations, Returns)
our operational standards for print-on-demand production
direct user feedback (when clearly labeled as anecdotal)
3) Updates and maintenance
We treat evergreen guides as living documents. We update content when:
we change our production model or materials (example: print-on-demand updates)
our policies change (shipping, returns, quality expectations)
we find an error or unclear wording
customers repeatedly ask the same question and the content can reduce confusion
When a page is meaningfully updated, we update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
4) Corrections policy
If we discover a factual error, we correct it as quickly as possible.
For significant corrections, we may add a short note near the top or bottom of the page indicating:
what was changed
the date of the change
If you believe something on our site is inaccurate, email [email protected] with:
the page URL
what you think is wrong
any supporting source(s)
5) Conflicts of interest, sponsorship, and affiliate disclosure
ProxyMTG sells MTG proxy products. That means some content may discuss:
ProxyMTG services
competing proxy printing options
third-party tools, sleeves, or accessories
We follow these rules:
If content is sponsored, we will clearly label it as sponsored.
If we use affiliate links, we will disclose that near the link or in a disclosure section.
If we review or compare services, we aim to describe tradeoffs honestly and avoid misleading claims.
We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage without disclosure.
6) Reviews and testimonials
Customer reviews or testimonials may appear on our site. When we share them, we aim to:
avoid editing in a way that changes meaning
label whether the review is verified/attributed when possible
treat anecdotes as anecdotes (not universal guarantees)
7) What we won’t publish
We do not publish:
instructions to use proxies in sanctioned play
content meant to help someone pass proxies as authentic cards
deceptive “how to fool people” tactics
claims that proxies are “indistinguishable” or “undetectable” as a selling point
8) Editorial leadership
ProxyMTG content is overseen by our editor:
Editor: Kit Yarrow
