ProxyMTG exists to make it easier to get MTG proxy / playtest cards for casual play and playtesting where proxies are allowed—without turning it into a weeks-long design project.
Reminder: ProxyMTG products are intended for playtesting and casual play where proxies are allowed. They are not for sanctioned events and must not be represented or resold as authentic Magic cards. (See our MTG Proxy Use Policy.)
How ProxyMTG Works (Print-on-Demand)
ProxyMTG is moving to a print-on-demand model. That means:
Your order is printed after you place it (not pulled from pre-printed inventory)
This enables flexibility like custom backs and custom art
Turnaround is driven by production time + shipping transit time
For current expectations and how tracking works, read:

What We Check (Quality Control)
Print-on-demand doesn’t mean “anything goes.” We aim for clean, playable results and we review for common failure points before shipping.
Typical QC checks include:
Print clarity (text and key details should be readable)
Front/back alignment and placement within normal production tolerances
Cut consistency (cards should be usable and consistent as a set)
Obvious print defects (streaks, banding, smears, missing elements)
Count accuracy (correct quantities and items)
If something arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll review and resolve it under our published policies:

What to Expect (and What Not to Expect)
We’re honest about what print-on-demand is great at—and where it has normal variation.
What you should expect
Cards that are clean, readable, and consistent in sleeves
A process built for playtesting and casual games
Clear policies for shipping, refunds, and support
What you should not expect
Perfect, identical matching to authentic cards across every print run
“Indistinguishable” claims or guarantees
Anything intended to help someone misrepresent proxies as authentic
