More About MTG Artifacts
Artifacts are permanents that represent magical items, animated constructs, equipment, or other objects.
Prior to the introduction of Eldrazi cards, Artifacts were unique in Magic: the Gathering in that they were the only cards that had completely generic mana costs.
More recently, colored artifacts – artifacts that use colored mana types – have been released.
Artifact Creatures are a common subset of artifacts. These cards count as both a creature and an artifact. They can attack and block like normal creatures. They are also susceptible to artifact removal.
